The Endowment for Levi’s Kids
All children deserve to learn. The SHSC Endowment for Levi’s Kids is designed to help develop positive self-concept, enhance creativity, and enrich each child’s life socially, intellectually, and emotionally, because….the World needs to fund more creative young people.
This endowment to fund students who indicate a desire to pursue a future in the arts includes media arts, graphic design, music, fashion, the visual and culinary arts, dance, theater, and much more.
Why fund Creative Arts? Studies have shown that involvement in the arts helps students stay in school, perform better in all academic subjects, enjoy the school experience more and as young people evolve into well adjusted adults, create tomorrows for our world that go beyond our scope of imagination.
The Levi Sanford Memorial Ride to Benefit the Endowment for Levi’s Kids takes place each year on Father’s Day in Colorado. Named in memory of Levi Sanford, a beautiful soul who left this earth too soon. As a result of Levi’s vision for art, Joan Krenning founded this event in memory of Levi, not just to acknowledge the amazing work he did, but because she believed Levi would love the idea that $$$ raised in memory of his life would help in the education of young people who had a desire for the arts.
Everyone will end up somewhere in life. We choose to end up somewhere on purpose.
